Mad Monkey Krafts

6:16 PM

My dear friend and former co-worker, Stan, opened the cutest little online Etsy store, Mad Monkey Krafts. He's spent the past decade in the scrapbooking industry and is just as passionate about it as I am! I was honored when he asked me to make a few cards for him using some of the washi he sells. Now, this was way back before Christmas, so it shows just how behind I am!

Also, I just realized I have no photo of Stan and I together. Let's fix that, okay Stan?

Stan really knows his stuff!

For the last 11+ YEARS I have worked professionally in the crafting industry as a buyer for a printed mail order catalog specializing in paper crafting, card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and a little home decor. I was also responsible for coming up with project ideas and choosing components and embellishments for several monthly subscription only monthly club kits.  I have also appeared in several web videos as a co-host, premiering new industry product and demoing techniques.

I have attended industry trade shows all the way back from Memory Trends to CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Trade Shows, dating back to when it was still known as HIA in 2004 when I attended my very first craft trade show in Dallas, Texas. It was then I knew this is what I was meant to do with my life!

I chose the name Mad Monkey Krafts after my love of Sock Monkey's and just Monkey's in general, but our three little grandsons are our favorite little Monkeys of all ;-)

I didn't end up getting pictures of my cards before I handed them off to Stan, but he was kind enough to take a few with his iphone. Cards are not my strong suit, but I am pretty okay with how these turned out.

Poor bow got squished in transit :(

Stan has these pretty tapes as well as so many other great products like Epiphany tools, bling, ink, stamps, dies, and so much more available in his shop. And because it's his birthday month (Happy Birthday, Stan!) and National Craft Month, he's offering $5 OFF of your order of $15 or more!! Just use the code CM2014

Stan is a wonderful friend and his shop is so great! I'm so happy that it's taking off for him and that he is on his way to achieving his dreams. I hope you'll join me in supporting him. Please stop by his Facebook page and give it a like! :)

Thank you for stopping by everyone, and thank you to Stan for letting me play with some fun washi tape!
