Taking Care of Business and a Few Layouts

1:29 PM

Happy weekend! I am super pumped to announce the winner of my first giveaway.....

"joel & ginny"

I was unable to get your contact info from your profile, so if you could email me at mrsalliestewart@gmail,com , I will get your prize out to you ASAP! Please contact me by Friday, September 13, or I'll draw a new winner. Thank you so much to everyone who entered. I have lots of goodies in the wings for a few more giveaways, so please check back and look for a new one in a couple of weeks!

In other news, my scrappy friend Cristi asked if I could add a followers button to my page, and I happy obliged. I know not everyone uses Google Followers (I am a Feedly girl myself), but I was still pretty dismayed to have only 4 followers (but thank you to the marvelous four who do follow me). I know I have a nice amount of readers thanks to Google analytics, but I still feel like the kid picked last in gym and like my blog looks so pitiful. If you have a Google account, would you please take the time to hit the "follow" button? It would mean a lot to me and make me feel slightly less embarrassed.

I'm trying to get in the habit of posting layouts here, in addition to facebook and my Studio Calico gallery. Between SC, FB, and the now gone Two Peas, I felt silly posting them here, and like I was going to overload the world with flagrant self promotion. I've come to the conclusion that not everyone is active on those platforms, and that my personal blog is actually a pretty ideal place to share my personal layouts. I had a crazy week last week with our 2nd anniversary and bridesmaids duties. I didn't scrap for a week! I was so happy to get back in the scrap room a few days ago, and here is what I created!

Happy Happy Happy
I seriously cannot get enough of the green/yellow/lilac,magenta color combo. It makes my heart so happy! I'm so glad I wore green in our anniversary photos, because it matches this MME Jubilee collection perfectly. This layout has quite a bit of dimension in person, due to the layers of paper, chipboard, and glitter thickers. I'm quite happy with it! The background was inspired by this image from Pinterest:

The next layout was a mixture of  Crate Paper's Oh Darling, Notes & Things, and some scraps and tags.

A & M

I am having so much fun using the Notes & Things chipboard frames! I love the color combo of Gold and Kraft. This layout was also inspired by a Pinterest image;

Finally, I create this last layout in about 15-20 minutes. I threw a bunch of layers together and called it a day :)

Loves His Bone

And that about wraps it up! Thanks for stopping by, and please don't forget to click "follow" if you have a chance. Thank you to each and every one of you who takes the time to read my blog. I am truly grateful!
