Happy Heart

I don't think I will ever tire of the "gold" scrapbooking trend. I hope it never goes away! This layout has plenty of it! I had so much fun using the Maggie Holmes Open Book collection. I think the colors are so unique and beautiful! And the bright green just so happens to coordinate perfectly with the top I wore in our anniversary pictures. Hurray! I love love LOVE all the happy and love themed elements in this collection. It's perfect for me since that's what 99% of my layouts are related to. It's taking some serious self control to not use everything all on one page!

For this layout, I fussy cut the scalloped paper and placed it onto white cardstock. I used some of the vellum and patterned paper to create a corner on the bottom right side of the page. I added the chipboard frames and some layers from Open Book scraps and the 6"x6" pad. I used a few misc. Open Book embellishments to finish it off!

Supplies: Patterned Paper (Open Book by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper), Vellum (Open Book), Embellishments (Open Book), Thickers (Open Book), Cardstock (American Crafts), Mist (Heidi Swapp).

I love the colors and happiness of this layout so much that I think I need to go use Open Book to create something right now! Have a fantastic day :)

  1. Allie, this is so pretty! I don't think I'll ever get sick of the gold trend, either...oh my gosh. I love that you tied in that gorgeous shiny gold striped paper and that cute open book at the bottom. And I always love seeing the sweet pictures of you and your husband and Teddy!

  2. Thanks for sharing this one Allie. It's a really good model for how to use a busy pattern paper without overwhelming the entire page, while still including other elements and keeping them all balanced.
